Pilot notice · October 28, 2026
Before a public launch: the site owner must add the responsible legal entity and contact details, and have this notice reviewed for the countries where recruitment will take place. This draft describes the pilot's intended data practices; publishing the site means taking responsibility for implementing them.
Who operates this site
SameSkills is an early-stage remote-work talent-network initiative. [SITE OWNER: insert legal business name and business location before publishing.] For privacy requests, use the contact form below. The operator is responsible for responding to these requests.
What we collect
If you join the talent network, we collect your name, email, current country, relevant work market, languages, role interests, professional experience band, and any optional profile link or information you provide. If you are an employer, we collect your name, work email, company, hiring area, timing, and any hiring details you submit. Privacy request forms collect your contact information and request.
Please do not send your immigration status, deportation history, identity documents, Social Security number, bank or payment details, or other sensitive personal information through these forms.
Why we use it
We use registration information to understand early demand for remote work, contact you about the network, evaluate possible fit for future opportunities, respond to inquiries, and operate the pilot. If you separately choose optional career updates, we may email you learning resources and news about the project. You can withdraw that optional choice by replying to an update or contacting us below.
Who can see it
Information submitted through the forms is processed and stored by our website hosting and form-processing provider, Netlify, and can be reviewed by the SameSkills project operator. We do not publish your information. We do not send an identifiable candidate profile to a prospective employer without asking for your permission first. We do not sell contact lists.
Retention and control
For the initial pilot, the intention is to delete or re-confirm interest in talent-network registrations within 12 months of your last meaningful contact, subject to applicable legal requirements. This is a manual administrative process, not an automatic deletion feature. You may request access, correction, removal, or withdrawal at any time through the contact form below. We will review your request and respond in accordance with applicable law.
Cross-border processing
The project may involve people located outside the United States and prospective employers in different countries. By contacting the project, your information may be processed in the United States and by service providers in other jurisdictions. Specific legal requirements vary by country and will be evaluated before recruitment expands.
Cookies and analytics
This pilot site does not intentionally install advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Standard hosting infrastructure may process basic technical information needed to deliver the site and prevent abuse.
